Would drake be more likely to be rehomed if he came with ducklings?

So this is a weird question and I’m pretty sure the answer is probably no. But do y’all think people would be likely to take in a Muscovy drake as a pet (not food) if he came with free unsexed ducklings? I’ve been trying to rehome a couple of mine for a while now but no one is interested (understandably since drakes can be a pain). I was wondering if I hatched out some ducklings to go with them if they would be likely to be adopted, but obviously I don’t want to go through with that if it won’t help since then I’d be stuck with even more ducks I don’t need. Thanks in advance for any opinions 🙂

Honestly, just offering more free ducks with the drake is probably not a good idea. I've seen people in the online ads blatantly turn around and USING THE SAME PICS resell animals they got for cheap or free. Ducklings would be too much of a temptation for this.

Have you asked on your state thread if anyone may be interested?

Go to "Where am I where are you" and look up your state thread.
Thank you, but yeah I’ve already posted there a couple of times, I think I may just not be able to rehome them. Just had the thought the other day that offering free ducklings to go with them might be more likely to get them to a good home🤷‍♀️, but it doesn’t look like it would. Guess they’re still stuck with me lol, I’m honestly more attached to them now than when I first started trying to rehome them so that’s ok though.

Where are you?
Can your local chapter of the Humane Society or your local branch of the SPCA arrange an adoption?
I’m in Jacksonville, FL. I haven’t thought of that before, I always kind of thought they dealt more with ‘regular’ pets than anything else. I’ll check it out and see if they can, thank you 😊

Thank you, I didn’t think it would work, but figured it couldn’t hurt to ask opinions. Looks like my extra drakes are stuck with me for at least a while longer 🙂

If you really want to get rid of him, I'd not specify that he is for pet only homes.
Yeah I’m sure it would be easier that way, but I raised them as pets and would feel terrible if someone killed/ate them. I also used blue kote on them when they were younger so it wouldn’t be safe to eat them even if I was ok with that.
