Would ducks appreciate a nest area?

My ducks sleep in a pile. The girls found a spot they like for the eggs after leaving them in various place. Now they are in the same spot every day. Will they use a nest box?

Mine will make nests out of straw, but they like to pick the spot.

lol, mine are currently sleeping in an old play pen while i'm getting their new pen together. I've decided to take the huge pen currently in my art studio and put it outside (my outside pen is to small for my new ducks), and then build their new pen in it's spot. I used to have a loft bed back in y single days which is now sitting in a corner, with the top being used as a storage. So i'll build my new pen under that. I decided on building one big box at the end of the pen (it will be 4x6 with a 2x4 foot nest box) So they'll have a nice big area. I figured even if they don't lay their egg in the box, they might still appreciate sleeping in it since they like sleeping in enclosed spaces (i do paint at night with lights on, that way they can escape the light).

I'm still going to put a lid on it too, but instead of making seperate sections for each duck to sit in, it's one big 2x4 enclosed area for them to pile up in. lol.
