Would it be a good idea to introduce a new female duck into the family?

I’m planning to rehome several of my boy ducks as I have too many of them. I would be left with two boys, but I have two females. I have a place where I can put the other boy duck so the girls won’t be overbred or hurt. I wanna get another female duck, would that be a good idea? I’m not really sure where they’re sold, but I think it would help. How do I introduce a new duck into the family? And what’s a good breed to adopt? I already have pekins, but I don’t mind adopting a different breed. I’m not looking to hatch any eggs, just to have more girls than boys. And I would prefer a breed that can’t fly. I do not wanna have like 10 or 15 ducks.

If both of your males are pekins, I would stick with a Pekin or another breed that's large, maybe a black or blue Swedish. You wouldn't want to get something small like a mallard because a Drake could really harm her trying to breed with her due to his large size.
When I introduce new birds to each other I keep the new bird either in a small separate area with wire fencing or a large dog create. That way all the new ducks can see each other but no one can bully. Usually about a week of that and they're used to each other and there's very minimal scuffling when the new bird is let out.
On that note, is adding more than one female out of the question? It's much easier integration wise to add more than 1 bird at a time.

I would suggest a duck that’s bigger in size to handle your pekin drakes
I have Swedish ducks and they are a bigger size and don’t fly
Very passive girls
If you could adopt 2 girls that would be best
One it’s easier if they have a buddy to be with starting in a new flock
And 2 having 4 females you could have both drakes with all 4 girls
For introducing you just separate the outside and indoor areas with fencing they can see but not touch
After a week or two start letting them out together supervised and go from there
There maybe a bit of chasing off as long as no fights break out they can continue but I would still keep them separate at night for another 1-2 weeks till you see them being friendly outside
Adding a few feed dishes and waters so nobody is being pushed out also helps

I suggest adding 2 female ducks -- adults so sex is certain. You might adopt from a rescue, or by advertizing in your state thread on BYC. Other sources are crai's list and various other social media sites, plus some branches of ASPCA and some chapters of the Humane Society arrange adoptions, including of ducks
