I have a hatch going on and today is lockdown. The temp has been running low 98.5 or so. I have been putting a blanket over the top if the incu Genesis 1588 and that has helped bring the temp to 99. 3-5 or so.

If the room is up to 80* then the temp is in the OK range but if the room temp is 70* then it drops to the 98"s.

This is my second hatch and the heat has to be turned off. Which unlike the first the heat was on.

First hatch I got 6/6 of the non shipped eggs. This hatch has all non shipped eggs and candleing has been ok I guess. I did toss one at week 1 as it was clear.

So would it hurt to cover the incu.?

Anyone got a Gen 1588 that they've adjusted the thermostat on? Instructions say this can be done and how to do it but I'm nervous about messing with this machine. If this hatch goes well I will leave it as is.

here is you info you wanted tells you how to adjust the temp should you want to https://www.gqfmfg.com/pdf/1588 Genesis TUV.pdf hope that help you let me know how you go on

well iv'e put the eggs in the carton hatching system and we'll see if that helps them pip and zip. If you'd like to know pm me on Saturday. Thanks for the good wishes. You'd think w/ all the good wishes going around none of us would have any problems.
