I just got started with a trio Buff Orps from exhibition lines. I love our hatchery girls so this trio may be prospects to show this fall. They are around 6-7 months old. How do they measure up against the standard?

They look very good. They will not be fully mature until 12 mos. or more.By then they should be massive and heavy.

Quote:Thankyou, the cockerel is already huge and heavy. My arms get tired easily whenever I hold him. The first pullet is a more rich, buff color and the other pullet is wider and larger. I plan on showing them in November just to get used to the show atmosphere.

Quote:Me too. Mine are so sweet and like to be held and loved. They follow me everywhere in the backyard and still like to cuddle up to my collie. I just love them...
