Would Love input on this!!!!

I almost lost a hen recently to a molt that she was having trouble with. I knew she was molting since I noticed her feathers everywhere, she's my only white bird that's not a silkie or fizzled Cochin. She was having such a hard time. I had to isolate her since she wasn't feeling well. I worried the others could take the opportunity to rid the flock of a bird that was unwell (I believe this was beginning). I fed her mash, scrambled egg, boiled egg, and finally some meal worms were the trick to helping her turn the corner and recover. I've had a hen feel bad during a molt, but this hen was so unwell that I worried I'd lose her. I did end up deworming her with Valblazen once she started to recover, just in case. Other dewormers can cause some retardation of the new feather growth, but that's only during a molt.

I would still keep watch on her for several days. You are noticing a change in her behavior, so it warrants observation.

It's good that she's perking up a little.
I’ve been told I am over observant. This is true. And I adore my chickens. This am, empty crop… eating well, active and bright eyed. Still feeding extra protein (Scrambled eggs). Have not seen her head bob, but believe me…. Watching her like a hawk. I am astonished how resilient chickens are when you catch and treat asap. (Even if you have no idea what your treating for). I am also putting VetRX under her wings at night. Just in case it was respiratory associated. I do whatever I can to help and support them. They are good girls. Thank you again for always being there for us all. It helps so much and makes a big difference to be able to talk things through. I continue to read and learn, always, even when some things I read scare me to death. I am incredibly grateful for your input.
