Would someone please forward the memo to my girls

You sure that those memos are not going to my barn instead of all of yours. I have over 100 mature chickens and I am getting ONE egg per day. Even the Cinnamon Queens are sticking out their chicken tongues at me. How ungrateful those little turds are.
So i went from about 30 per day to ONE. Oh well, less to carry back to the house.

I second that and there's no way I'm sending the memo. You could, on the other hand, send a memo to MY girls! 1 is laying like a champ, the other just came out of solitary confinement from going broody and I'm hoping she'll start laying again, and the other is consistently laying wind eggs!

Well if you get baby chicks it will take them 6 months to start laying by that time your gals may want a break so I say go ahead and get the chicks... LMBO Your justified!

Well, for those of you that have hens that are laying like gangbusters and don't want them, I say start baking goodies and freezing them, make eggnog, angel food and sponge cakes, add them to the dogs food.

For those of you whose hens aren't laying, just tell them what my Great Aunt Adele used to say,"It's either eggs or the stew pot, your choice ladies."

Well you could always interest your neighbors children in chickens and then offer them any babies that hatch.

Let them raise them up and have their own eggs!

Envirogirl, I am with you, 5 birds, 1 is moulting (what gives, its December!) , they have a light at 3:30 am-7am and again at 3pm-5pm, layer feed and all the right things...NO EGGS.
So those of you that ARE getting eggs.............
