Would this be a nice new variety?

My blackshoulder peacock had I believe two double eyed train feathers. I think I have a blurry picture of one. I know I have one of those feathers somewhere because I remember anxiously waiting for him to molt it, and of course it was broken...

Arbor, he still has his breeding hen, a young male (turning two I think) that just started showing that trait, and even more impressive is a peachick is already showing white. None of mine from those exhibit it, so maybe they carry the progressive pied. Louden Farms is working with them, so it would be interesting to get their take on this.
Well that is awesome! I wonder if Brad Legg has seen double eyes in any of his birds.

Peep started displaying today and because his train is short I can't see all of his train feathers because most of them are hidden, but I did see a small one that looks like either a double eye feather or a half feather. I am excited to see how many Peep has and also I am excited to see if Alto has any this year. I hope he is still growing double eye feathers. Alto hasn't displayed yet.

My BS peacock also had a sword feather that had an eye but it was just light blue throughout the eye. He also had a normal train feather like this. Here are some pictures of the odd feathers. In the full train one there are two visible oddball train feathers. See if you can find them.

The feathers you posted next to the last always reminded me of angle fish and with that eye it looks even more like one.
That first photo is very beautiful .

Wow I don't know if it is the lighting but your peacock's train is so pinkish purple looking! Very pretty! Okay the odd feathers in the first photo: The double eye feather is on the left side in the center. Then the other feather is the solid light blue feather in your last photo and it is just barely visible...It is opposite of the longest sword feathers.

That butterfly feather with a spot on it is really cool! Now I want to see if mine have that! I don't know if I have seen a butterfly feather that big...Yours doesn't even have the dark marking on it. That would be really cool to have double eye feathered peacocks with eye spots on the butterfly feathers too!

I wonder if a peahen would find a double eye feathered peacock more attractive than a regular eyed peacock?

I really miss that peacock. He was my only traditional blue... And now his peachicks that are growing up turned out to be a nice color, so he had some hidden genetics I had no clue about. The day I took pictures it was not sunny, but his train depending on the lighting was greenish or purplish.
