Would This Even be a Breed?

I recently added a 1/2 Buff Orpington 1/2 Rhode Island Red rooster to our flock. If I crossed him with one of our hens, would the chick be an actual breed, or just a barnyard mix?
Here's a list of the breeds of girls we have: RIR, Barred Plymouth Rock, EE, and Jersey Giant.

Barnyard mix. A breed is breeding animals of like characteristics, set to a standard, to each other with the offspring having the same characteristics.

Edited....if you hatch the barred rock's eggs, you'll have some pretty sex link birds!
