I stopped in at a thrift store today and found one of those baskets designed to go in the cube storage system (I googled and found a similar pic below). It is brand new, still in packaging, and being a thrift store, I got it for a fraction of what it originally cost new. I figured even though I don't have the cube storage system, I would find a use for the basket. Its stated dimensions are 10.5" x 10.5" x 10.5". I am wondering if you think it would work as a nest box, when tipped on its side, if I was able to put a front on it to stop nest materials being pushed out?

I think it would, we use a small cheap bookcase on it's back and filled with hay. It only has three shelves and cost less than $6US If you could put strips of something along the front so the hay doesn't fall out it should work fine

To clarify, what I have is just the basket - not the furniture it goes in....
