They’re trying to sell it for $550. I’m looking into getting a flock of 6. Would you bother with this conversion at all ?

Imo that's way too small for that price.

I built my 8x8 coop for about $250.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy that. It's too small for more than one or two birds. It might have some worth in the lumber, but most of the pieces are going to be short.
