Would you put a translucent panel on a chicken coop roof?

Its not going to get any hotter than that tin roof.... but it will allow light inside, if its diffused its not going to add heat, if its clear its not going to add heat in the summer, but will add warmth in the winter /cooler days where the sunlight will reach. I have a large window that allows direct sunlight inside and never had an issue with heat in the summer.
