I gave one of my roosters to a neighbor up the street on Wednesday evening. My DH just got home from work and found him in the yard wandering around. I called the lady and told her she was a piece of crap for just dumping him off without at least letting me know he was coming back Should I quarentine him? I know she didn't have him separated from her flock because she said her hens were terrified of him. (after I told her to keep him away from the girls for a few weeks)

I know I really should. :( poor fella

Irresponsible people are certainly a blight to society. Since the rooster was exposed to her flock, I would quarantine for a month just to be sure the bird hasn't contracted anything. He may be stressed, so it would be beneficial to give him some vitamin-electrolyte-probiotic powder in his water a few days a week.

I'll do that, I have a bunch of it since I have a bunch of little ones. Thanks!

You're welcome. I'm glad you got him back. Home, sweet home
