Would You Rather have free feed forever or healthy birds forever? (All types of poultry).

Hmmm this is such a tough one!!! I would say healthy birds but my birds are usually always already healthy and if you keep a clean coop, etc. you usually really only encounter minor issues if any (except for emergencies), which I don’t mind treating, and feed is expensive soooo

I could get A LOT more birds if I never had to pay for feed

But mine also free range and get a lot doing that so idk lol

Well that’s easy. Never see my reflection I rarely look in a mirror apart from brushing my teeth. That’s the only place I have a mirror. Oh and my bedroom but I’m not the Queen from Snow White looking at myself everyday

Maybe I shoulda said never have a death instead of health!

ETA: I would choose free feed too but I’m not super attached to my hens, only my roosters

Yeah lol cause health is nice but so is free feed if it’s death instead of health I think I’d choose that one cause I’ve had a lot of losses lately

But then my numbers would be out of control lol

And I’m attached to all of them I love my girls

And I love Jack even though he’s turning into a bit of an A Hole

He was watching over all the birds today including the little punks (my 3 month old chicks) when a hawk flew by and let them all hide with the big girls and was standing guard so he won me over again today lol

And I love Danno

Free feed So I can also sell some of the feed and get money and if I want I can buy more poultry

Oh, this is hard because I am very attached to my birds and have had several die from eggbinding recently. But, I could have just about unlimited chickens if I had free feed. I think I'm gonna say free feed so I could start one of my biggest dreams of running a chicken-breeding business. I'd just have to be extra careful to prevent sicknesses!

Hmm...thats a tough one, but i think i will go healthy birds, we don't usually have health issues, but it would be nice not to worry so much...
