Would you rather have a scratchy barbed cat tongue, or a long squishy bubble-gummy blob frog tongue? The cat tongue would be gravely and loud, super scratchy, and thin, while the frog tongue could be shot out for easy French fry stealing but it'd be pretty sticky and soft.

Cat tongue would be useful for removing every last bit of gravy/syrup/ice cream/other sticky but delicious substance from the silverware. Frog tongue seems more gimmick-y, the big use would be to retrieve food from far away but that’s what arms are for!
