Would you want an Ameraucana or Turken?

Would you want an Ameraucana or Turken from cackle? I know I am getting one of each but I have romm for 3. So should I get 2 Ameraucana hens and 1 Turken or 1 Ameraucana Hen and 2 Turken hens?

Well, you will get an Easter Egger from Cackle, not a true Ameraucana. The reason this matters is that EEs may lay any color egg, including brown, so if you really want blue or green-blue eggs, you may be disappointed. Nothing wrong with an EE, though. I love my Ameraucanas, but have no Turkens. Can't get used to that naked neck look. I have some EEs as well as Ameraucanas and they are very sweet girls and fabulous layers as well.

sorry...my opinion is...they are not even cute as chicks...and most baby things are cute...my dh says they look they have"old man eyebrows" when they are full grown....lol

ETA: yes a bulldog puppy is cute...just not a turken...poor things...got a neck only a mother could luv

I'd want a Turken - Because no hatchery sells Ameraucanas.

I'd rather stick with the real thing.

I love Turkens though!

And since I have EEs already as well as true Ameraucanas, and my last Turkens died. . . I wouldn't mind having more, although I'd rather get them from a breeder.

Thanks. Oh, and it doesnt matter to me what you think thats why I asked so no reason to be worried if you are. I am still trying to decide. I would hate to get EE's and them not lay blue or green eggs! I would be so mad!

well my EE's lay beautiful blue and some blue/green eggs all of them!!!
