I moved my first batch of young stock out of the brooder and into the growing tractor on Easter Sunday. YeeHa! They were happy. I was happy. Then I looked at the forecast. Can you believe, we are looking at snow showers tomorrow? It is about 45 now and has been raining since midnight. Those poor little chickies. It is a good thing I set a platform on the back so they are off the ground and a heat lamp in the back where it is dry and put a tarp over the open end so they can stay dry themselves.
Why, Mother Nature? Why? Global warming my butt! Bring on the heat!

Here its upper 90s even triple digits during the day and mid 70s at night. We haven't seen rain in months and may not until hurricane season lol. I'm worried about hot fuzzy butts instead of cold or wet.

i'll share some of the rain we've been getting for the past 6 weeks but the time this week is over we are supposed to have had around 10 inches

and i still don't have a coop for them but i guess that's a good thing becauase right now they are 20 ft from the back door in the shop and the spot where the coop is going to be is a good 100ft from the house so i don't get as wet

My babies are all doing okay out there, but I just feel bad they have to go through this at such a young age. My poor, poor babies! The big chickens on the other hand have been feasting on worms all day! Yummy Worms!!!!
