This is my hen who’s at the bottom of the pecking order. She’s had wounds before. It’s hard to describe where it is. It’s like on the top of her wing bone, kind of like the “elbow” area. The pics with her saddle are from a few weeks ago and the others where it looks more like a scab is from today. It’s kind of thick and scabbed but there was still a tiny bit of blood coming out, maybe from moving it to see it better. It’s probably an injury from the other hens but I’m not sure what to do with it. I’m a little concerned about the thickness of it though.

Do you have a rooster (since she's in a saddle I assume you have one or more)? That might be damage from the rooster mounting, if it started to bleed then others would have been drawn to the blood and pecked at it. A thick scab is common with a large or deep wound, so that's not really a worry. I would apply some plain triple antibiotic ointment or plain neosporin to it several times a day, to keep the injured area covered in it and moist. that will help it heal. You will need to keep her where she can't be pecked or reinjured until it's healed. If you have a wire dog crate, you can put her in it in the run or the coop with the others, they can all see each other but no one can hurt her. That reduces her stress and makes it easier to reintegrate her when she's ready. If it was a roo, or suspected a roo, check his nails and spurs and trim if needed to help prevent him injuring the girls. If you have a roo that is hurting your hens then you may need more hens, or you may need to consider not keeping the roo.

No I don’t have a rooster. She has the saddle because her back was bald from im assuming the other hens pecking her back. Thanks for the tips!
