We got 8 new chicks a week ago and our roster perhaps the rudest has pecked a hole on to one of the baby's heads and so we have skull and meat showing. I can't just not clean it and need to know how, if anyone knows what I should do please tell me.

Please keep the chick separated until he is healed over. Chickens love to peck anything that looks red, bleeding, sore. & can end up cannabalizing the injured ones.

Thankfully chickens seem to have great recuperative abilities. Wounds that look horrible - usually heal up fine - if there is no infection present. There is a product called Blukote that you can apply to wounds - it stains it kinda purplish-blue so chickens tend to ignore it.
