I have a week old chick that has a wounded wing (bloody spot) that it developed today. I am assuming from the other chicks. Would it be better to leave the wounded chick with its mates or separate it?

Wash the blood off her little wing and put a dab of neosporin on it. See how she is in the morning. If she is no longer bleeding, use a blue or black non toxic marker to cover over the wound so the other chicks can't see it. Chickens love blood so disguise the wound. If nothing else happens she'll be fine. It's hard to separate chicks in the brooder and better if you don't have to. If you do, try to pair her with a nice friend.

She seems much better this evening. I am going to follow your advice and try pairing her with a smaller friend tomorrow. Thanks

you can always spray a little wound spray on the wound to help keep it clean

Thats good to hear chickens can heal from some pretty bad injuries
