Wow...lost our dog today...

So sorry....loosing a pet is so hard. They're members of the family.

So sorry. I had to put down my 15 year old Pomeranian mix this winter. I kept hoping he would just pass in his sleep, but he (Bo) didn't. It is so hard - like losing a family member.

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your families loss of your special dog. What a shame that she went without you being able to say 'good bye' to her. I do know how it feels and only lots of time will start to heal the wounds and peace will return to you and your family.

If she did die because she's broken hearted over Mimi, then at least they have eachother for company. I pray for peace and comfort for you all.

I'm sorry for your family's loss, but thank you for posting that sweet story about the bond between them. They're both cuddling in the garden now, forever. Your doggie died surrounded by family, and peacefully. In a way you are very lucky. I had to bring my 13 year old four legged daughter to the vet to be put to sleep when she got so sick with cancer - it was awful, it still brings tears to my eyes. She's buried in the backyard, my DH, bless his heart, dug the hole in the rocky soil out there.

Doggies just don't last long enough!

Oh, I am so so sorry. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a family pet. Our neighbors recently lost one of their two labs and swore to never get another pet due to the heartbreak of losing one. That I didn't understand as even though it is heartbreaking, what they give to us far outweighs the grief we feel when we lose them. You gave them a wonderful home and life so celebrate them.
