wow!!!!....the temp's in new england

well the temp's here in new England are brutal. lately I've been getting on the frozen side eggs. I try to get some in the morning(3 hens) but the cold seems to get the better of them. I believe I have red comets and there holding up to the cold pretty well. (redish body with white spots) some times I feel bad for them . I have the coop with in my shed so for there most part there out of the elements of the weather . hopefully it will get warmer.

You guys are getting some cold, cold weather! If I was a chicken I would be afraid to lay

We're having a lovely snow / ice storm today ... more ice than snow so far . I was surprised that we had any eggs today. The past few days our eggs have definitely been quite well refrigerated before we got them in the house.
