Weeell ....
I’ve decided to wrap my 3wk old duck with angel wing.
Micropore has been suggested as the tape to use... thoughts??
Also do I need to lock him up ? Keep him out of the water? Or can I just tape him (both wings) and leave him out with the others (as it wasn’t great introducing him with the others the first time)
Any advice would be most appreciated

Vet wrap is better. Article demonstrates how to wrap. Also make sure getting exercise and follow diet recommendations above.

I would keep him separated while he's wrapped. Poultry use their wings as a balance aid. Pigeons will wing-slap one another - not sure if ducks do. He will feel weird and a little vulnerable. You can always re-introduce when he's fully functional.

I went to wrap him this afternoon to find him with his wings sitting flat.. wt
This is what it looked like yesterday..
at the moment sitting flat underneath
Should I wrap anyway??
He has been on duck and goose starter

It takes at least a week to see any true effect. Not sure how long he has been wrapped?

What did you see that made you think he had angel wing? Any photos?

Give it another week and post pics then main thing is getting the wings wrapped while the flight feathers are growing in if you aren’t seeing signs of wing tips starting to poke out like a hitch hikers thumb then just leave it alone for now. His diet is fine.

Having 20 years expericence working in an operating room I know my tapes! I wouldn't use micropore, aka paper tape. Vet tape, aka Coban, sticks to itself and not to feathers and would be much better.
