My silkies are just goofy

I like your nesting box setup, and planning for broodies is definitely a good thing!

This is the last one I built out of dresser drawer for the mixed flock. That's broody Roady (BA) on the left sitting on eggs. I want to build 3 more of these for the Marans coop.

It needs a better entry perch, I've had to fix it twice now from leaning on it.

Not yet, but I will! I will be doing the NPIP testing this fall to prep for shipping eggs in 2025!

3 of the 5 pullets from my Easter Sunday hatch I took today. They're 15 weeks old.

From left to right...white band is Harmony. My first grandbaby (F2) on the farm. She is Joannie's (my darkest layer) grand daughter and Angels daughter.
Middle is purple band (F1) only remaining pullet from Joannie and sister to the 2 cockerels.
On the right (red band F1) is 1 of the 3 pullets from Betty.

The 2 BBS Silver little ones are 5 weeks yesterday. My thoughts are the Black Silver 'Solo' is a boy with that much coloring coming in so soon. The Splash/White I'm stumped for gender on this one still. My mind says male but secretly wishing female because the wife has named it 'Princess' and we can't have it getting beat up at school.

@Bantambird what's your thoughts on gender?
Is the white a white, or still unsure yet?

Random pics of the pullets, a couple are starting to investigate the nest boxes.

Red bands are Betty's 3 pullets, 2 of which are mossy.
Purple band is the only pullet I have from Joannie my darkest layer.
White band is the only pullet from Angel (Joannie's daughter)

'Harmony' is on the right. Our first grandbaby F2 (white band).
Joannie's only pullet I have since losing her sister a couple weeks back is on left. (Purple band)

Thanks...she sure stands out like a 'Rose in a thorn bush' amongst all the black birds.

But I'm hoping one is a girl or my BBS flock just came to a standstill with 2 boys.
