Wrath's Marans

Just a general question for the group since I know a lot watch here.

Who do you all go through for insurance (if you sell eggs/products)? I'm having the best time trying to find insurance agents that know what they are doing, or aren't scared to talk "business" lol.
It's not required here, so I have no clue what direction to point you in, maybe someone else will.

What would you need insurance for?

"You got bad eggs? Here's another dozen and good luck with your upset tummy ya Nancy !"

I'm kidding of course.... kinda.

NY state is ... sue happy I feel lol. I'm leaning towards if I don't have people buying eggs to hatch we just keep them and gift them but wife wants me to pay for their food

I don’t have any sort of insurance here. I guess maybe my homeowners insurance could come into play if someone fell down the steps or something while getting eggs. I only sell eating eggs and only have about a dozen or so customers mostly friends and family. I have a self service egg refrigerator on my front porch but I don’t advertise egg sales for the public we just make a Facebook post if the refrigerator gets too full and the cash box magically gets full and the fridge gets empty.

Speckles I'm collecting from Momma and P/G.

I have not heard of egg insurance. Then again, Montana is very Laissez-faire about the poultry industry here, and livestock and purchases related to livestock are considered at your own risk, since guarantees are pretty much impossible in real life.

it's mostly farm general liability.

Idk florida was much more laxxed and I might be just being overly cautious living in a new place and worry about people taking money for silly things.
