After the last 3 I had to go buy, I'm now "Back in Black"...


That's AC/DC in case you didn't know.

They should definitely be named ‘Back’, ‘In’ and ‘Black’ (whoever gets called In might draw the short straw).

Angus, Malcom and Brian might be more sensible (I would say Bonn but Back in Black was Brian’s first album).

I like it... I'll have to think on it a bit as I already have a Black.
Back just before I got all ga-ga over the Silvers I almost pulled the trigger on a breed trio of Svart Honas for their cold hardy status. But nixed the whole overwhelming 2 breed SOP and here we are...overwhelmed and secretly hoping one of these turns out to be a male.

I'm actually starting to post a lot for sale, I need to thin them down.
I'm keeping what I feel will be the best to keep going and I'll make some mistakes but I can hatch more if the hens are still here.

Well, if you don't end up keeping what you really needed, that's just a good reason to hatch extras next year!

There's a few I have to see egg color at least first and a few will stay for sure. (Raven's, Momma's and Doro's W/R)

And then I'll try to keep a couple from each of the hens 1st test just to see how they grow out.

My broody is taking care of BCM babies that hatched Monday!

Yes, sorry.. with building the new runs and now sales have started up has me busy, busy. I've got the runs mostly fenced in so getting rafters started soon. Sold 7 boys, a couple pullets, and a couple more pullets going out this weekend.
P/G's hatch is Saturday...(10 of Momma's eggs).

Our first confirmed pullet egg. (I think that one a few weeks back with the heavy bloom was a glitch from Raven or w/w). I was impatient trying to see who layed it, and when I reached in she moved and stepped on it and it cracked.

This is one of Kong x Solos pullets. (Gray/Gray) 22 weeks old this past Wednesday.
