Glad you like. I get real nervous selling art, you never know if people appreciate living breathing works of art or if they just see a chicken.I am loving these blue silvers! I'm gonna need you to stop posting pics of them sir, I put the incubators away for this year![]()
As I always say, to each their own, but yes I like them very muchGlad you like. I get real nervous selling art, you never know if people appreciate living breathing works of art or if they just see a chicken.
What a hag!!!As I always say, to each their own, but yes I like them very much! I went to a farmers market Saturday and went to talk to the woman who runs it and rents out the spaces. She asked me what kind of birds I had, I told her my main focus was my Wheaten Marans, she proceeded to tell me how inferior they were to her BCM, and that's all I told her "to each their own." In all honesty, I wanted to punch her in her snarky throat, but hey, we don't always get what we want

What a hag!!!(I would have used another term, but I keep trying to be a grownup.)
when we find a breed and variety we really like, we get to gush over it. I would certainly get immediately annoyed if someone told me their generic variety bird was better, unless they could back it up. I have, in fact, gotten annoyed about it when people message me looking for black copper because they all assume that marans come in one colorAs I always say, to each their own, but yes I like them very much! The height of this ignorance I find when I see ‘English standard BCMs’ for sale. There’s no such thing as English BCMs! They’ve identified that the English standard has clean legs, yet failed to realise that there is not even any talk of the black copper being recognised under this standard. We have varieties that the other standards haven’t got, so why do people cling to the famous one? BCMs in Britain are shown as French marans anyway!when we find a breed and variety we really like, we get to gush over it.
