I have lights but I'm not trying to force laying. They come on for me to do chores in the morning and make sure everyone is good for the day, and then just a little while in the evening to provide a glow in the coop to help them get to bed and for my evening chores and checks.I'm maybe getting 8 eggs a day. None from Kings coop and none from Poppys coop now that I've moved Christy back over into Kongs.
Are you running lights? I'm letting mine take their break, they've earned it.
My older girls are mostly molting or off lay already, so it's mostly the pullets providing the eggs right now, I have no reason to try and get more pullet eggs, I would much rather they save them for their adult life where I'll get nice sized hatching eggs
hatch them all!!!!!
