One of my girls layed a wrinkled egg today. The shell is nice and hard, so I don't think it's a calcium problem. They were locked up inside the laying area of their coop last night because it went down to 27 degrees. They hate being "cooped up" like that, maybe it's stress related. Should I be concerned? Here's a pic of it.

No reason to be concerned. It is probably just a fluke. I have had a hen lay a soft shell egg (like a turtle egg) and it hardened after a few hours. This may be what you have. It looks like a thin shell. If you find more of these, you should look at supplementing more calcium.

It can be fluke or from an older hen, nothing to worry about. Some posted the same thing yesterday I think, in that thread there is a link to a page that shows and tells what causes funny odd eggs

My chickens have laid all kinds of funny eggs:

Little Wingless eggs the size of a marble
Bumpy eggs like in the pic.
Softshell eggs,
spotted eggs like freckles
thin shells,
very thick shells

You name it.

All the chickens are healthy, so as long as I don't witness anything bad, I just laugh and share.
