Wrinkled eggs

Hi am new to this forum I have about 30 assorted breeds and one, I think its an Australope, is laying eggs that look my mother in laws face [god bless her] all wrinkles is this a problem the eggs seems to be ok inside and eat ok any help would be appreciated

Welcome!

I get a wrinkled or bumpy egg now and then. It's just the shell, and I certainly eat them. You will see stuff you don't see in grocery eggs because those eggs have been removed (used for baking etc.)

Can you show us a picture when you get your next one? I have never seen that yet.

Welcome to BYC. If the eggs are consistantly wrinkled and the whites are watery...it could be IBV (infectious bronchitis virus.) There would be other symptoms as well and it's contageous to other chickens. The eggs are safe to eat with IBV. (If this is what it is)
