My 2 year old Barred Rock has for quite some time now been laying these HUGE wrinkled looking eggs. Yesterday I saw what looked like a piece of paper coming out of her vent, I very gently pulled it and a relly long leathery egg shell came out. Today she's back to laying her huge (too tall to shut the egg crate) egg with wrinkles in it. The eggs are hard but the shells are REALLY thin and they have a line around the diameter as if two halves have been glued together. Any ideas as to what is causing this? They all eat purena layena and have free choice oyster shells.
