Writing goals

I always laugh :caf
Me doing like that means I actually need to learn how to make a spreadsheet... which I will never get around to doing. And then I'd need to somehow convince myself that that list actually has any kind of control over me/relevance. Deadlines don't work for me unless I have external pressure.
I follow my fixations... which right now happens to be art over writing so the writing just has to wait...
I literally just did it with nothing fancy. Lacy suggested colors, but I got lazy and haven't tried that yet.

I won't even bother with to-do lists 😭 My brain just doesn't function in that kind of way 🤷‍♀️
Whatever works for people personally I'm all for though, we all work a little differently.

I have reminders on my phone. They only work if I remember to look at the notification. The only ones that are consistent are my daily selfie and vitamins since it's habit now.

I have a neglected to do list on there.

Lacy, do you ever reach a point where your writing jail isn't actually big enough for all the things distracting you? :caf I have about 2-3 OCs, five art projects, and various side hyper-fixations in the way rn...
I'm actually not really sure. I think there are just times when things should be in writing jail, but for whatever reason, I don't bother or realize I should put them there until it's too late and they've taken everything from my writing, forcing my writing to be on hold for however long it takes my brain to recover, even if it's days to weeks.

One thing that probably helps me, is I don't really like tackling one thing without finishing the previous. Maybe as far as the art projects, you need to center your focus on one at a time until they're finished?

Then the next thing that helps is having a set schedule. That being said, on writing mornings, BYC is in writing jail until after some writing has been done. Sometimes breakfast is even on hold until my writing is done. My hunger almost pressures me into getting my writing done because I know if I step away to eat, that might be it on writing for the day because something else could come up during breakfast.

You should see my Spreadsheets with the colors. By the time I have one made, it almost doesn't even look or feel like it's a Spreadsheet anymore because I get them so fancy.
