I have 6 hens on layer pellets and 14 little ones on crumbles, but somehow got a bag of turkey grower pellets. I've opened the bag already, darn.... Can I use it here and there to use it up without hurting anyone???? I think I have 5-6 young BO roos, can I use it at some point for them? I intend to eat them. Thanks

Is it medicated? Check the label as well as the ingredients for amprolium or any antibiotics. If it has antibiotics I wouldn't feed it. If it just has amprolium I'd probably feed it to chickens under 14 weeks. If not medicated at all it should be fine to feed to any of them. Probably even fine as their only food.

It does not appear to be medicated, nor can I find the other ingred on the list. I'm just going to toss a handful now and then til it's gone. I'll be careful to check the tags myself next time! Thanks for your help!

You'll be fine to feed it to them. If it makes you feel more at ease, just feed it to your roos till it's gone as their source of feed. With game bird type feeds, the biggest difference is that it is a higher protein level. We feed flock raiser to all our birds. It's 20% protein instead of the normal 16% that layer feed is. They do really well on it. I also give them straight up scratch mixed in to make it a little cheaper during the summer.
