I have an 8-week old barred rock whose neck is cocked to the right. It started suddenly yesterday morning. She otherwise looks and is acting okay. I've looked through the boards and found some older threads on the subject. It seems vitamin deficiency is the most likely cause. I contacted the breeder and she suggested B complex vitamins. I've also read on here Poly-vi-sol (without iron) is good.

My question is can I use both the Poly-vi-sol and B complex? I have both of them here. The Poly-vi-sol does contain some of the same B vitamins, but I thought I read on here somewhere that it was okay to give them more B because it wasn't stored in the body. I haven't been able to find that post again, there are a lot of posts in the thread I was reading! Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

For wry neck treatment is usually Vitamin E and Selnium.
Poultry NutriDrench and Poultry Cell vitamins have both E and Selenium.

If the poly vi sol has them, then you can use that.

B vitamins are water soluble and any extra is excreted in the poo/urates.

Thanks! I'll give her both. The Poly-vi-sol only contains E not selenium. I'll give her that until I can get the correct one. Hopefully it helps a little.
