I've got a chick (of course my favourite) that has neck issues. When walking it wobbles around with its head girating about, usually at ground level or so. It sleeps almost all day, but does get up to eat and drink.
It was in with bigger chicks, but was on the medium side of the size range. 2 other random chicks (the smallest, of the same breed, from the same breeder) were found dead. The theory was that they were trampled, but who knows? I removed the 3 biggest chicks to combat this. There was 1 left over that was kind of big, and I watched him being clumsy and stepping on the smaller ones...and he jumped up and knocked the "neck issue" chick over, who thenwrithed around on the ground for a bit, and then got separated in its own little pen.
Anyways... I'm not sure what's going on... And I truly apologize for my poorly written ramble... But... Any ideas?
