One of chicks had spraddle leg. I thought she was ok, she still had a slight limp but was walking around a lot better so I put her back in the pen with the other babies. Well I went in there a little while ago and her head was arched down toward her chest. I picked her up and she seems to not be able to pick up her head and keeps tumbling around. I have her in a separate box right now. I had seen a post a while back when I was searching on how to treat her legs. and came across one with a link about how to make a sort of brace device with 2 little coke caps for water and food. but lost the link...

Hi I'm nursing my silkie right now for wry neck. I'm going by Alan Stanford's treatment for wry neck. You can Google it to find exact doses. His web site is browneggblueegg.com.once you go there on the left hand side is a glossery click on crook neck. He gives exact doses and schedules. Basically I'm using vitamin E gel capsules and a small amount of selenium.selenium can be toxic in larger quantity but is a important part of treatment to.absorb the vitaminE. Then use polyvisol children's vitamin without iron. And vitamin B. Now most stop here but my bird is older and possibly has a brain injury so I'm also using predinsone
It is a steroid that helps with the brain swelling
Patience is a must with the wry neck. I feed and water around every two hours. Milly my bird went from having her head tucked between her legs and not being able to eat to eating and now she's holding her head up at times. She's still got a long road ahead but the treatment really works. Just have patients. Mines going on three weeks . I hope this helps good luck

Yes ty I am making a trip to the drug store early to get the supplies. This poor baby has been through so much in its tiny little life but she's hanging stong
