I have a bantam cochin hen that may have wry neck. I noticed 2 days ago but i didnt give it a second thought. Today its worse.
I gave her some nutri drench, but im not sure what else to do. The other birds dont pick on her. She is about 8 months old and she eats dumor chick feed.

Well she’s a cochin so she always looks really puffy.
Her crop was empty this motioning and I don’t think she ate anything because she can’t move her neck down very well. I tried spooning a little FF to her and she ate a little bit not much. I have her 2 syringes of water and a couple drops of nutri drench.

Here are some photos of before this for reference
She is the gray one in the back. Her name is amelia by the way and sassy is the one with the white face in front of her and Gladys is the white one.

She is beautiful.

Poor girl, yes, it looks like Wry Neck. Poultry Nutri-Drench is good, but it may not have enough of what she needs.
Give her 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4tablet of human B-Complex (no iron) daily along with some egg or tuna for Selenium.

Getting her hydrated is important, so try to get fluids into her, then see if she will eat. You may need to help her out, this video may help:

Whorp Rock’s advice is spot on for wry neck symptoms. Wry neck ( torticolis, encephalomalacia) is a neurological symptom that can be a sign of vitamin E or thiamine deficiency, head or neck injuries, heredity predisposition, or in certain diseases, such as Mareks and others.

In addition to vitamins and selenium, hold her to eat if she cannot do it herself. Mix some chicken feed, a lot of water, and some egg in a small bowl, and wrap her in a towel to feed her several times a day. Keep water and food close to her. We hope that she gets better soon. It can take days or weeks to see improvement.

In addition to NutriDrench I picked up selenium tablets and cut them into 8ths, then crushed with 1 tsp water to syringe-feed. I dosed twice daily. KikisGirls helped me through our wry neck episode and she had also suggested vitamin E but the clumpy lumpy thick oil was hard to administer and I was not successful with it. That being said, on the third day of treatment with NutriDrench and selenium the wry neck was all but gone. I dosed once daily after that for a few days, then every about third day. I am a believer in nutritional supplements for ourselves so I now put a few drops of the NutriDrench in the water that all my chickens drink, once a week.
