I made a thread on one of my BO pullets tails, https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/why-hasnt-my-pullet-got-a-tail.1540588/#post-25996765 it seems that she probably has wry tail.
I had been hoping to use these to pullets for breeding, but I probably won't be breeding the one in question.
However, would it be alright to use her sister for that?
I don't want to breed more chickens with wry tail so is this inadvisable?

When I got my first pair of Silkies as young. I did not see that the male had a Wry Tail(actually it was more severe than that, the spine was crocked). I hatched very good quality birds from that pair and his son with good spine has taken his place as main rooster(some of his brothers grew to have crocked spines so those along with their sire were culled). Long Story short. Otherwise defective birds are capable of producing better quality offspring.

At least don't breed that pullet. Her sister might be fine, or not, as a breeder. If you have more, better choices, go with them instead.

I've only got the two, although I'm considering whether it might be better to sell them as pets and start again.
Nothing is happening in a hurry though, as we need to get the flock tested for Maraks.
I guess it would work to try hatching some from her sister and see if they have wry tail?
And then cull them if needed and not hatch any more.

Is your rooster related?
'Pet quality' sounds good, they will be fine, just not best for breeding.
Years ago we got a small group of 'show quality' chicks from a hatchery, and two of the five had wry tails. The were adorable, and moved to another home. Didn't want any of them in our breeding group!
