Dash borrowed a pair of overalls at Halloween when he dressed up like Junior Samples. They were so worn that they were baby soft and even had stains & patched holes. He fell in love! (As you can tell by the pic, they were a bit too big... thank goodness for a pillow.)

Now that he's returned them to their owner I'd like to see about getting a pair to replace them. If you have a pair (38"x30" or 31") that fit that description and you are willing to part with, drop me a PM.

Thanks

Hubby just bought some new at the local feed store (Leggett Town and Country)...I think they are dickies brand. They are really soft and only 30 bucks....which didn't seem bad to us (the Carhart brand is like 60+ bucks)

maybe you could check some local stores to see if you can get new ones that are soft.

Thanks, but I have already exhausted all of my options around here. All the new ones at the feed store and Ace are Carhardt (expensive and stiff). And the Salvation Army doesn't have squat. I'm afraid that the wives haven't been able to wrangle their men out of their overalls. (That or they're just tossing them in the garbage. Overalls, not the men.

TSC sells them too.

You can wash them and use alot of fabric softener to help get rid of the stiffness.

We have an old fashioned hardware store that sells them too.

have you checked ebay?

Did you consider asking the owner of THAT pair of overalls? They might be willing to part with them if they knew how much your hubby loved them.

Even though they were a bit too big, I am assuming he just wanted them for around the house anyway?

My hubby has a pretty beat up pair of Carhart (i believe) that are 36x30. When he buys his new bibbs this weekend, I send you a pic of the oldies. If you want 'em....
