Looking for some nice quality salmon faverolles...I hatched out some eggs from a lady in Texas, and only ended up with 2 chicks, and not very good quality at that...so, need some more!! Thanks! (We are a 4H home).

I'm in the same boat you are.

Ordered some standard salmons from the same lady I believe and got blue salmons instead of salmons. Went through two shipments to get three fertile eggs and the roo out of the three didn't even develop muffs. One of the hens is also starting to become a frizzled faverolle (haha).

Well, so far the black feathers are definitely black, not blue, but time will tell, they are only 3.5 weeks old...

At least the frizzled one will be super cute!!

Mine are a little over 3 weeks as well and a total of 6 after one dissapeared yesterday. I too received my eggs from a lady In Texas. I have 1 runt, 1 with splayed legs that have been fixed, and 2 with 4 toes so I am thinking we are all using the same breeder.

I have emailed the president of the Faverolles Fanciers Club and asked him if he knows of a quality breeder that sells eggs. When he gets back to me I will pass on any information on this thread.

If you would want chicks I am not sure if he is still selling but Duane Urch ([email protected]) in Minnesota has some of the best faverolles I have seen, he also sells eggs. For our area I dont know of any good breeders.
