WTB: Show Quality Hens

I'm desperate for five or six decent show quality hens. Our flock gradually dwindled away to two birds, and here I am a week before blood testing for the county fair with next to nothing to show. I realize the county fair is not taken terribly seriously by most exhibitors, but I'm a kid who rarely gets the chance to show elsewhere. I take the fair very, very seriously.

Do you have any idea where I could get what I need? I'm not picky about breeds, but they must be standard hens. I'd really appreciate any help at all!

These are almost all breeder and/or show quality. I bought the silkie trio for $15. Wow, they are beautiful. Check out the pictures on the website she has.

see if you can get your hands on the poultry press. in there are many breeders selling birds. i'm sure you'll find someone in there close to you who can give you some of their culls. it's breeding season right now (well, it is for us that show in texas) and so it may be hard getting a hen, but it's worth a try.

You can also check eggbid.com and see who has what, and maybe you can get in contact with some of the sellers
