BYC Café

How are you feeling sleeping first night in your new home?
Unpack the box to get kettle out for first morning coffee..1st day in new home.
Is the garden to your liking?
It's hard to know what's out there, but the neighbor says there are lots of flowers. I like the trees and bushes in the back yard.

Good Morning,

Coffee is ready...2nd cup. Late yesterday weather warning strong storm is coming and I was like ...bring it on, bring it on..only the storm can disperse this humid hot weather. The sky was yellow and dark cloud from afar. I got the feather kids in so early, they objected loudly, secured all lose items in the garden, and the humidity was getting worse. It suddenly went quiet, no sound of birds like the usual at that hour, I was sweating big time, exhausted, cranky as anything......waited and waited, then the warning came.. no more, we were lucky the storm passed us, really? We were lucky? I object to that!!

The heat was so bad....I got cranky, irritated and stayed in the aircond at 18C = 68F. I was freezing out, but that only to ease down my distress that the storm missed us. A few drops of rain just make things worse and I will be spending most of the time in the aircond today.

It is normal for us to have this kind of high humidity heat, it can only go away once the storm arrived, all these build up is just for that. There is no other way to ease this humidity heat, the storm will come, but it will be awhile and in the mean time it is building up more humidity.

My chickens are staying still, drink so much water that liquid poops everywhere, and those flies are so happy. Those alcohol disinfection that I got left over from covid time, I added them on a piece of cardboard and put them here and there in the chicken area, where they can not get to, but the flies might be eased down a bit.

Have a lovely day

I heard that those tree air fresheners in vanilla scent help get rid of flies in coops.

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

It's 30 with light snow. I hope to get the girls out for a good hike or two today. The temp's going to drop into the single digits tonight and then remain below 25 during the day for several days. I can't really take Piper out in that kind of weather.

I couldn't get them out yesterday because my friend came over for us to go over our itinerary further. We booked one of our international flights in Asia and another place to stay but decided to wait to deal with the last week of our vacation until we get over there. We don't know if we want to extend our stay in Vietnam or fly back to Bangkok and then take the bus down to Pattaya for a day or two.
