Looking for a dozen or more show quality Porcelain D'Uccles, especially with good middle toe feathering. Please let me know if you have any and what the price will be per dozen plus shipping along with pics is possible. Thanks in advance!
Check with vetgirl ( I can't remember all her name) , but look under the d'uccle thread. She will be having some eggs soon, and shows her birds. Mine are laying now and have good middle toe feathering and beards, and the roosters usually have good combs, but mine are out of hatchery hens, and my roosters are from Ugly Duckly, who has also been breeding porcelain d'uccles for a while. Mine won best of breed this fall at the double show I took them too, but out of 7 d'uccles, I owned 4 of them, so there wasn't much competition here in Missouri. I was just happy I didn't have any disqualifiers.
Last year my shipped egg hatch rates were anywhere between 30-90%. The hatches were better when it was warmer for shipping. Mstricer is going to test some eggs for me in a few weeks. I just cleaned out my incubator yesterday. If you want cute, sweet tempered d'uccle chicks, then you'd be fine with my eggs, but if you want showring lines, um, I can't say I can help you there unless you get lucky-- you never know what the DNA will shake up. I just renewed my NPIP testing yesterday, so I'm good to ship to most states, unless they have really strict shipping requirements like Virginia.
