I have searched but not much on here about Bill deformities and how/what to do to help, if anything.
I have 2 Rouen ducklings I am guessing a few weeks old. Got them last week Friday and store indicated they got them that week. It wasn’t until after getting them home and a day or so later I notice one has a deformed bill. Hubby said to take it back (but I know they will dispose of it and I am NOT ok with that) so it will just be my WuckyDucky.
Anyways, I noticed it was eating and drinking good and in the last day I have noticed it is breathing heavy and mouth breathing and the skin behind the nostril flares but it still mouth breaths (like the nostrils are closing off or blocked).
Being new to ducks I am not sure what my options are to help or if I even need to. The other duck protects it from our chicks and follows it around.
Here is a few pix of him/her. Please let me know what your thoughts are or if I am worried for nothing!
