I've read wyandottes have rose combs. Not exactly sure what that means.
2 of my wyandottes have a flat area where a comb should be. Or at least one does, hard to tell with Thistle the runt. One of them has a comb you can see. It sticks up a bit.
Is this normal? When will the combs grow? Anyone have pictures of their wyandotte combs you would like to share?

There are a few different styles of combs. Depending on the breed, chickens have different types of combs.
The Ultimate Guide to the Chicken Comb

The chicken in your PFP has a single comb. The one in my PFP has a rose.

Google rosecomb or comb types, it's hard to explain with out pictures
I looked. I see now what a rose comb looks like. Appears they can be different sizes. I think my chicks are too young to tell what the combs will look like.
I plan to get a closer look tomorrow because it seems one doesn't have a comb..

My Wyandottes have rose combs, They look like someone chewed a piece of red gum for a while and stuck in on top the chicken's head.
