Wyandotte roo or hen?

Thank you everyone, for all your replies!

I missed the part where it is crowing! Lol, that wouldn't be good for a pullet! On the back where the saddle feathers would be, can you part the feathers and see if you see pointy ones coming in? Maybe they are just really slow?

I haven't had a chance to catch him yet, but I finally heard him crow myself yesterday so I'm afraid I have my answer already. :( He has been a slow-maturing boy, though.

That there's a cockerel, I can see the pointy saddles JUST starting to come in. :hmm Look at the dark blue ones. Plus he's got some good size legs... and hens might... but pullets don't usually "crow".

He's gonna be quite handsome as he matures. :love

He'd also be tasty! :drool

Yeah, I was clinging to my last shreds of hope that he might be a she, but y'all are right. He will be quite handsome! I unfortunately can't keep him, and I'm vegetarian, so no freezer camp, either. The people I got him from said they'd gladly take him back and let him live there!

Cockerel.
IS THAT REALLY A WYANDOTTE?

I'm actually not sure. I got Wyandotte from when I posted about my new birds a few weeks ago, asking about breeds and genders. I was told there that he seems to be a Wyandotte, but I personally am unfamiliar with the breed, so that may not be right.

Thanks for the info. But, I still don't think thats a Wyandotte. (Not saying you said it was.) Mine don't look like that at all.
