Wyandottes and Mille fleur D'uccles UPDATE!!New Pictures!

As to the d'uccles, they both look like roo's to me. How old are they in the second pic? I can usually sex my d'uccles by about 5 weeks pretty accurately. Their heads look different and the pullets usually have a yellow color to their combs, no red and no waddles to speak of.

I have a d'Uccle too!

But just one.

Yours looks like the same color of mine too - which is a Millie Fleur.

I was told here that Frenchie was a "he" and he has the best temperament with me. Granted, he does chest bump his other brooder mates - a Silkie and a Golden Sebright. (He goes after the Sebright more though so I'm thinking they are both boys.) Oh and Frenchie did develop his comb pretty fast and it pinked up fast too. He is about a month old now. So, maybe you have a pair - boy and girl - since one seemed to develp their comb faster than the other!

I'm hoping that is the case, but I'm no expert on d'Uccles! (or chickens in general!

They are about a month and a half in the newest pictures.

Not sure if this holds true for all millies but I think I have two boys/two girls.

The boys look bigger
The boys have bigger combs
The boys have a rich caramel coloring on their chests

The girls are smaller and keep their heads low to their body
The girls have smaller combs
The girls have a washed out coloring on their chest and alot more black in their wing and back feathers than the boys (at least right now)

That is what I have observed in my 4 week old millies. The girls are also not fighters. But then again only one of the suspected boys chest bumps, so it may just be the evil twin and the good twin.

Like I said that is just my experience from the past 4 weeks. I could have it all wrong.
