does anyone know if wyandotte's are broody hens and if they would be good mothers???

I had two broody black Wyandottes last year and got 4 beautiful chicks.
I just had a broody one again last month and she got off the nest for me sometimes, but she was very devoted. The others pecked at her until her head went bald (I couldn't sepparate her

but figured she'd be okay) Finally one day I took the eggs from her because none of them were hatching. I'm sure she would have been a great mom though!
