Hi all at BYC. Super excited about this whole ordeal! My name is Jen and I'ma stay at home mom of 3 boys, 11,9 & 4. We were given a shed last year and have been bugging my husband ever since about turning it into a coop and getting chicks. About a month ago we went to a estate Sale and to my surprise the gentleman in charge replied "If you can catch them you can have them and all the stuff for them (waterers, feeders,feed, heat lamps for chicks)" when I asked if he was getting rid of the 3 chickens also. Little did I know that these 3 old hens(1 black bantam and 2 Americanas) would bring so much joy and smiles to me and my children that we decided to get 10 chicks (4 days old)for Easter! ! I LOVE THEM ALL. They all have such a distinct personality. Looking forward to many new ideas and knowledge from everyone here at BYC!!!
