X-box 360. Is it worth it? What r some good games?

Both my son and daughter have one (and XBox Live accounts) and they would tell you most definitely yes! They play Guitar Hero, Halo and Call of Duty mostly. I think it all depends on the games you want to play as to which system you choose (Halo is only for Xbox) We have had to send both of them back once due to the Red Ring of Death. Both times, Microsoft replaced the units with a new and updated units. As far as customer service goes, I have been pleased as a parent.

We've had our 360 for a lil while now, and haven't had any problems whatsoever (except for the puppy chewing one of the controller cords in half

) There are a few good games for it, aside from the classics *ie* Halo, Call Of Duty, etc.. I just finished playing through Lost Odyssey and it was awesome, Another game I could recommend is Assassin's Creed, But it all really depends on what type of games you like anyway..

my husband has one. Got it right after Christmas and there have been no problems with it so far.
Right now he is playing Fable. The graphics are pretty good... but then again last time I played a video game it was on an Atari.
we use it to watch movies on Netflix

From what I gather they have made changes to the box. and most of the issues that they were having with it were because people were leaving it on ALL day. Playing it in the morning, leaving for work/school and not turning it off and then coming back home and playing it again all afternoon or night.

My dh has his so it has space around it and isnt "boxed" in. So it has air circulation. Also. he just said that if you are going to get one to get the one with the hard drive. it takes the stress off the machine some.

PixelJunk stuff is awesome. DH and I play those games all the time. We've beaten PixelJunk Monsters, and I think he's halfway through Eden.

I got the xbox with the 60 gb hardrive

how bad is Halo 3? I mean my mom doesnt really like me playing m games cause i m not 17 but it is really up to my judgment whether or not to get it.

I think im going to go with Halo3
Guitar Hero
and something else (on the less expensive side)

we returned our first one and got a new one and it's been working WONDERFULLY for over a year now.

I reccomend COD4... we have COD5 but I dont like it as much as I like COD4. getting it live is best it's fun to play with others and team up but the game itself is fun too. I never thought i'd like a fake war game because of the violence but it's actually not bad if you're mature enough to deal with it and not take it seriously lol. That's pretty much the only game i like though......

the replacement box was free btw.

I agree, Halo 3 really isn't any worse than any of the other war games out there. My son also like Gears of War 2 and COD4 a lot. He won't even buy COD5 since he said it's "lame" lol. He's 12 and been playing games like that for 2 years. It is all a matter of your maturity level and what your parents are comfortable with. I tend to not censor anything my kids do - music, movies, games, etc. I just make sure they are mature enough to handle it i.e. "it's just a game" I am one of those "very liberal" Moms.

Eden was too hard for me (uhm, shhh!), but we've played through Monsters like.. twice... we're always trying to get those pesky rainbows to pop up over the levels. It's frustrating though, DH is the kind of guy who makes up a plan and then NEVER FOLLOWS IT, and then he's like "WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!?"

And that's how we spent 6 months playing 4 co-op levels on Splinter Cell 3, lol.

Did you ever try The Last Guy? It's sooo fun and super challenging, plus the music is catchy.
